Service Description

At Renewed Balance, our Postnatal Counselling service is designed to support new parents as they navigate the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise after childbirth. Whether you’re experiencing feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, low mood, or simply adjusting to the demands of parenthood, this service provides a safe, compassionate, and confidential space to explore your emotions and build resilience. What the Service Offers: A personalised approach to understanding and managing the emotional and psychological changes that come with the postnatal period. Support in processing feelings of anxiety, sadness, or emotional overwhelm related to parenthood. Guidance in developing effective coping strategies to manage stress, sleep deprivation, and the demands of caring for a newborn. A non-judgmental space to explore feelings of guilt, self-doubt, or identity shifts that often accompany the transition to parenthood. Tools to foster emotional resilience, strengthen your sense of self, and build confidence in your parenting journey. Why Book This Service? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or uncertain about your new role as a parent, postnatal counselling offers a supportive path toward emotional well-being and balance. You will work with a registered specialist wellness counsellor who understands the unique challenges of the postnatal period and is dedicated to helping you find clarity and peace. With a person-centred and solution-focused approach, you’ll gain practical strategies to manage the emotional and practical demands of parenthood. Postnatal counselling can help you reconnect with yourself, process your experiences, and cultivate a sense of confidence and joy in your parenting journey. By booking this service, you’re taking a proactive step toward prioritising your mental health and well-being, which in turn supports your ability to care for your baby and yourself. Let’s work together to help you find renewed balance, emotional strength, and a deeper connection to yourself and your new role as a parent.

Cancellation Policy

Welcome to Renewed Balance. To ensure smooth operations and clear expectations, please review our business policies regarding cancellations, missed sessions, late arrivals, counsellor unavailability, and payment procedures. These policies are in place to maintain a professional, respectful, and fair environment for both clients and counsellors. 1. Cancellation Policy • Cancellation Notice: Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of sessions. This allows us to allocate the time to other clients in need of assistance. • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session will result in a 100% charge of the session fee. • No-Show Policy: If a client does not show up for a session without prior notice, the full session fee will be charged. 2. Missed Sessions • Rescheduling: Missed sessions can be rescheduled at no extra cost provided that the client has adhered to the cancellation policy. If a session is missed without any prior communication, it will be regarded as a no-show, and full payment will be required. • Frequent Missed Sessions: Clients with three or more missed sessions may be asked to reconsider their commitment to the counselling process or may be placed on a different scheduling arrangement. 3. Late Arrival Policy • Client Late Arrival: Sessions will begin at the scheduled time. If a client arrives late to an online session, the session will still end at the scheduled time. Full payment for the session will be required. • Counsellor Late Arrival: If for any reason the counsellor is late to the session, the client will still receive the full session duration or the time will be made up in a future session at the client's convenience. 4. Counsellor Unavailability • Unexpected Counsellor Absence: In rare cases where the counsellor becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, emergency), clients will be notified as soon as possible. Sessions can either be rescheduled or refunded if preferred. • Planned Absences: For planned absences (e.g., holidays), clients will be given notice well in advance, and alternative arrangements can be made if necessary.
